Economy
As a small business owner I am always concerned about the economy. I see firsthand how excessive regulations and burdensome taxes stunt job growth. I will work to make Colorado a business-friendly state which creates new and better paying jobs.

Energy
Our society requires an enormous amount of energy to function. I have spent many years working for environmental protection organizations and I have seen the successful implementation of alternative energy. I will fight the over-regulation and complacency that have driven us into an energy crisis.

Education
I have been an educator at Front Range Community College and the Community College of Denver. I am also a father of four children in Adams County Public Schools. I am passionate about high-quality education. Our public education system is a one-size-fits-all monopoly which prevents good teachers from getting the pay they deserve. I will push for a system that rewards the teachers who are successful at educating our children.

Responsible Government
While most of us benefit from some government services, we all suffer from out-of-control government spending. We cannot stand by and watch our hard-earned tax dollars be wasted. Most of us are watching our own budgets right now and our government should too. I will fight to make government accountable for every penny it spends.
